Scoop Into Yummy Cheesecake Oreo Bites

Scoop out a heaping tablespoon’s worth of the dough and roll into a round ball.  Place on the parchment and repeat until all the dough is used up.

Chill the rolled dough in the fridge/freezer for about 20 minutes.

Melt the green candy melts in a microwave safe bowl, heating in 30 second increments and stirring well between each interval.

Dip Your Oreo Balls

Using a spoon, dip each chilled dough ball in the green candy melts and coat.  Scoop out the ball and tap off the excess candy melt on the side of the bowl.  Transfer the truffle ball to the parchment again and use the tip of the spoon to cover up any areas that appear thin or where the spoon left an indent.  Repeat with the remaining dough balls.

Once all the truffles have been dipped, transfer the remaining candy melt to a piping bag.  Cut off a small hole in the end and quickly drizzle over the top of the truffles.

Place a single large red heart sprinkle on top of each truffle.

Cheesecake Golden Oreo Balls Frequently Asked Questions

Have a question? Here are a few that we’ve received about this recipe…

Can I use Green Food Coloring?

No! Do not add green food coloring to white chocolate chips or candy coating – it will seize up and you’re unable to use it.  Candy melts can be found in some local grocery stores, hobby stores and online.

What If I Don’t Have Golden Oreos?

You have options! Simply substitute 1:1 original Oreos, Ginger Snaps, Nilla Wafers, or Biscoff Cookies.

Tips For Using Candy Melts?

  • Chocolate and candy melts can scorch easily – do not overheat.
  • Candy melts set quickly – especially on chilled dough.  Work quickly and in small batches to ensure time to place the sprinkles before they set up.
