A Simple Christmas Bedroom
Hi there! Did you already check out our living room all decked out for Christmas? I’m loving the extra touches and the glow of the Christmas tree! And can I tell you something? Aside from the first floor, that is usually all the decor we do. Is that normal? Sure, I have lots of floor mats scattered around the house (it’s a small addiction) in bathrooms and kitchen, but nothing else in our bedrooms!

This year, I thought I would start simple for our bedroom and introduce a tiny bit of Christmas bedroom decor. I was confused. Do I add a whole other tree for this room? Lights? Signs? These are the things I think about at 3 o’clock when I can’t return to sleep. If you’re interested… here is our Christmas bedroom decor…
Since last summer, Jordan has painted the room. It used to be commercial white (flat). Now it is Sherwin Williams ‘Privilege Green’ and PPG ‘Commercial White’ trim. While I’d still love to add lots’ o moulding, this is where we are at with the bedroom master plan.
I found the little trees for about $3 at Michael’s. I thought they were super cute and perfectly sized for our nightstands.

We just received our new comforter this week…. and I’m in love with the texture. I know the pinched pleats have been around foreverrrr but in this room, it fills up some space. Although, I already had a few throw pillows and set came with three throw pillows and two shams. We may be having a family pillow fight every. single. night.
The afghan at the bottom of the bed was made as a wedding shower gift by my grandmother! It looks right at home on the bench.

I picked up a few sets of unbreakable gold ornaments to fill my glass globes. The sleeves ended up filling four bowls and the hurricane in the foyer. I think they add some nice color to Jordan’s dresser. 🙂
Over on my side of the room, these sparkly snowmen add some fun. How can you not smile when see these guys?!
And I love how this little throw pillow makes its way around our house. It’s perfectly portable for toddler sizes. 🙂
While I feel a bit silly decorating an area that literally no one visits until we go to bed, it’s been fun thinking how to add some more decor to the space! Hopefully the next time you see this space, it will have a few more projects completed and way more shelving. 🙂
