Looking for a fun and easy way to make the most of your next holiday lights drive? These free printable Christmas lights bingo cards are the perfect addition to your family’s Christmas traditions—no prep, no stress, and tons of holiday fun.

What Is This Christmas Lights Bingo Game All About?

This printable Christmas lights bingo game is inspired by one of my family’s favorite holiday traditions in Phoenix: driving around to look at light displays and decorations. Instead of just riding in the car, now the kids have something interactive to do: spotting Santa inflatables, candy canes, and snowmen to check off their cards! This simple bingo game adds a little extra fun to an already magical night, and it turns what used to be a short drive into a full-on family adventure!

Supplies You’ll Need

No need to make a Target run—these are likely things you already have at home:

  • Printed Bingo Cards (8.5” x 11”) – Each card is different, so everyone gets their own board.
  • Dry-Erase Markers – Great for reuse after laminating the cards.
  • Laminator and Laminating Sheets (Optional) – Protect the cards and use them year after year.
  • Hole Punch – Keep the cards organized with a single punch in the corner to set your ring through.
  • Binder Ring or Clip – Store the set together and toss it in the car for spontaneous holiday fun.

How to Make Your Christmas Lights Bingo Cards

  • Download the PDF File – Grab the full set of eight bingo sheets through the Our Home Made Easy Resource Library (it’s free for subscribers!).
  • Print the Cards – You can print on standard printer paper or use cardstock for extra durability.
  • Laminate (Optional) – This step is optional, but laminating allows you to reuse the cards with dry-erase markers. It’s also a great idea for larger groups or if you plan to make it a favorite Christmas tradition. This is the laminator we have at home and the laminating sheets we use! After 6+ years, they are still our favorite.
  • Organize for the Car – Punch a hole in the upper left corner of each bingo card and keep them all on a binder book ring. They’re easy to grab before you head out to see lights.
  • Play the Game – Turn on your Christmas music, pour the hot cocoa, and let the scavenger hunt begin! First bingo gets a prize, or maybe just chooses the next song!

Fun Prize Ideas for Bingo Winners

Adding a little prize makes the game even more exciting—especially if you’re playing with kids of all ages or a youth group. Here are a few no-fuss ideas:

  • A special Christmas sticker or temporary tattoo (think fun things from Five Below)
  • Picking the next holiday song for the car ride or Christmas cookie flavor
  • A candy cane or treat from the snack bag
  • The “holiday light judge” title for the next neighborhood drive

Pro Tips for Busy Parents

  • Plan Ahead, But Keep It Simple: Store the bingo boards in the glove box so they’re ready anytime.
  • Make It a Core Memory Tradition: Play every year on the same night, like after your Christmas Eve dinner.
  • Use Stickers: Younger kids might prefer these to dry-erase markers.
